Lavalife says it is a 'unique online dating site' for singles looking for company and relationships and dates. Their 'robust' search engine allows filtering of search results by region, city, height, age and languages spoken.

Alicia, a single mom from Calgary used the dating site to find a match for herself. She says she has found her man through the search service of Lavalife. "He is a kind, caring, and compassionate gentleman, just what I had imagined him to be. My son likes him also and we may be planning to get married soon."

Livonia, from Edmonton doesn’t believe in the effectiveness of the lavalife matching however. "I had always been skeptical of the online match making services. But I do feel they have a tendency to work most of the time. In my case, I haven’t been able to find anyone so far using Lavalife. I consider it time well wasted!"

Peter from Toronto, like Livonia, is also skeptical of the lavalife service. "I never thought it could work, and I still say it doesn’t work. Atleast not with me. I imagined finding a perfect mate using the service with all its promises of variety and abundance et al but I haven’t found nobody using them system." Is what he opines.

Tracy from Winnipeg says she found her match through the lavalife system. "I too was skeptical at first, but the concept does work. Their advanced search engine presents results in an orderly fashion and makes recommendations of like-minded partners."
